Studio Facilities
On this page you'll find some of the facilites offered when renting from Studio Hire Plymouth.
Please note: The studio is located on the 1st floor with no dedicated disabled access, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Studio Floorplan
Make-up / Prep room
Separate to the main photography studio area is a spacious make-up / hair / preparation room which is fitted with a huge 6ft x 6ft mirror on one wall, two vanity mirrors above a substantial make-up counter on the other, make-up stools, changing cubicle with full length mirror, and also a large clothing rail with hangers provided.
The vanity mirrors are surrounded with daylight balance LED bulbs, which not only match the colour output of our studio flash heads, but also run cold so your clients can get ready in comfort. The installation is complete with plenty of power sockets, and even separate USB points for charging your essential devices.
The room is flooded with natural light thanks to the windows spanning the full length of the room.
It's a great, creative space for make-up artists, hair stylists and wardrobe stylists.
Sound System
Only a tiny percentage of our bookings like to shoot in silence, so the studio is kitted out with a large sound system, surrounding you in music no matter where you are!
In the main studio area is a large Android tablet with a premium Spotify account pushing music through 11 speakers and 2 powerful subwoofers.
We're certain you'll be able to find a playlist which fits your mood from the millions already on Spotify, regular visitors to the studio may even like to create their own!
Free Parking
Despite being so close to Plymouth city centre, there is plenty of free on-street parking available on the roads adjacent to the studio.
We recommend parking on either Connaught Avenue or Belgrave Road, neither of which have any restrictions after 10am.
If you desperately need to have an early hire of the studio (8am - 10am), there is a pay and display car park very close by, on Ermington Terrace.
Misc
All the usual facilities that you'd expect are also here, such as free WiFi, hot drink technology (kettle), iron/ironing board, separate male and female toilets and a small kitchen should you need it.
