Fresnel Spot
A specialist lighting modifier that focuses light in a unique way
This Fresnel spot modifier is useful both as a key light for portraits and also as a "practical" light within your composition.
It works in a different way to typical studio modifiers, as you're able to adjust the position of the light source inside the unit, moving it forwards/backwards to change the spread of your light output.
Positioning your light source further in to the unit, closer to the Fresnel lens will spread the light wider, whereas having the light positioned at the back of the unit, further from the Fresnel lens will focus your light in to a tighter beam, creating a spotlight effect.
