Umbrellas
These versatile modifiers can be used in a variety of configurations to give you the lighting results that you're looking for.
Place the light source closer to the umbrella for brighter output from the middle of the modifier with a lower output from the edges for a heavier contrast. Or position the light further away to allow for a wider initial spread, utilising the full diameter of the modifier - providing a more even light output .
As with our beauty dishes, the finish of these makes a difference to how the resulting light will look when it hits your subject. With a white interior giving a flatter, more even light, and silver umbrellas providing a more contrasty, specular, glossy appearance.
These can be used natively with our studio flash heads and video heads, or mount them to our magnetic gel holders to add a touch of colour to your project.
