Ultraviolet light
We have 2 of these powerful UV light cannons which are perfect for creative photography and videography, making UV reactive items, clothing and make-up glow brightly.
Unlike UV LEDs, these give off very little purple light - meaning any areas that aren't UV reactive very much stay dark. The trade-off for this superior light quality are that these cannons are very large, very heavy and are to be used at your own risk.
These units can be turned on and used immediately, no warm-up time required. BUT - if you turn them off, they need to cool down for 10-15 minutes before they will switch back on.
CAUTION! These units radiate ultraviolet (UV) light when operational. Most of the UV light is not visible, but exposure to UV radiation can be harmful to your health and can damage your eyes and skin. Do not look directly at the unit during operation.
The pressurised UV bulbs contain mercury and can reach 700°c during use. Both of these mean that every precaution should be taken when working with / handling these units.
These units should only be used with our strongest light stands, moving them whilst they are powered on should be avoided. Only our heavy-duty extension leads should be used to provide power to them. Any damage to these units or bulbs will be considered as misuse and will be charged for as such.

We have 2 of these compact units, each with 36x 2w UV LEDs with projection lenses.
They provide a super-bright UV light source, but do output a more purple glow than our dedicated UV cannons shown above.
Perfect for highlighting neon clothing, accessories or make-up in your project.
